Finished another large Bolt Action order today, this time WW2 french/ 20mm SS and 20mm Parras. Had a lot of fun doing the 1/72 (20mm) models. It was like a genuine throwback to my childhood, fiddling with the little weapons and such. I miss airfix and i vow that if i ever play BA myself then i will go the route of 1.72 models for affordability,

Hey Everybody, things are so busy here at EZPainter that we totally forgot to post about this wonderful Flames Of War commission. Check it out below in the stages of W.I.P and also the finished pics! It was for a German Late War platoon.
These WW2 german SS troops where a really good paint. I got the bulk done yesterday and added some little black dots to the camo today to finish them off, as well some more ink for the faces to drop the shadows a bit more. I had a lot of fun with this popular look (although not actually used in WW2 interestingly) which is very exciting, colorful and for lack of a better term, striking. Check out the models on the portfolio page for WW2 but here is a few pics!
Meeting your needs - Matching your army
Every now and then a client asks if we can match their existing models and sends a previously painted fellah to copy. Here i have been sent some SS and the model on the left is the clients. The model on the right is ours, painted to Lv1 (using the previously mentioned May deal). Asked by the client not to use a heavy wash, and also to match as closely as possible we went out and bought the exact base color that the client used (covered by his fixed materials fee) and then slapped some paint on the fellah. As you can see it's not perfectly matching, but for the method, cost and time, it's 99% close enough! So now to soldier on with the other 9 dudes!
