Just to mention that the price rice that has been implemented today on the 31st of august does not affect any orders or contact made by clients or prospective clients before then.
Between the days of 26th- 29th of august the work flow of Easy Painter shall be considerably slower due to many contributing "real life" issues.
Some basic painting will take place in this time and if you have an order with us we can assure that the order of priority has not been dismissed and yours will of course be appropriately finished when the suspension is up.
The main reason for this work suspension is that i am running fast out of resources and a significant lack of working capitol (for materials). By the end of this gloriously short week i shall be able to find the money to buy the resources i need, and this weekend power on through to completion on more than one commission.
Sadly when i started this business i did not consider the money it would take to keep up with the rate of work versus brush life and paint lasting time. over time i have aquired bills here and there, sometimes only a few pounds and in those cases i am happy of course to pay because in the long run this item will do me more good than the general good it contributes to the commission. but in the case that i have to spend upwards of £10 on one commission for materials it can feel cheap asking for a £10 service charge!
considering this i had (in my mind) two options! one - charge a fee of at least £5 flat to every order for added service. overall the work i do and the hours for the pay is not very relative but i love the work so much and i love the job, and i would not work it if i did not!
two- charge more on each miniature!
by following the second option i thought that people might not only empathize (as even the troop standard comes out very nicely! and is no walk in the park hours wise!) but also respect the price rise more than service charges (i mean come on! its not your fault if i use up on paint on your job, you alone should not be responsible for that paint. and artists have funny ways of working, i never spend less than £10 on black paint any time i need it!!!!!!)
after that guilt ridden justification for my new prices
new troop price: £3.00 a miniature (£4.00 for mounted) / 15mm - £2 / 10 mm £1.00 a strip
new special price: £5 (6 for mounted) / 15mm 4,5 / 10mm 3,4 a strip
New Hero price: £6 (7 for mounted) NO SMALLER SCALES
so i have been working two jobs and painting like a mad man. on top of the mayans i have taken on a commission of barbarians and they are great little minis.
Aside of that i have begun oainting recreationally again and i am working on some teams for ciry grounds and some old west miniatures.
from two boxes i got so many miniatures.
the irony is that amongst all that possible chaneability there was as a set number of spears and pole arms but a random sprinkle of bow sprues resulting in 13 archers??? and i finished the ranged sectiion out with a unit of ten peltasts.
in actually prefer these guys to a second unit of archers.
