These Axemen where a pleasant venture and i enjoyed mixing the different patterns like green and brown then changing the areas i used to get more variations (seen at the back right). i left the standard blank and need to put some kind of insignia on it, other than that there are few finishing details. A lovely unit and i am sure an effective fighting force!
The spear men
The Spearmen where a very fun adventure and i had extreme fun working on the color scheme. i like that it is uniform yet colorful and mostly that it is a nice variation on the flat white egyptian regiment, the white is there, but so is black leather, brown leather, beige strapping. check out my review below.
NEWLINE DESIGNS HAMMURABIC BABYLONIAN INFANTRY
Hammurabic Babylonian Infantry
Price: 3/5 (average value)
Sculpts: 4/5 (Nice and functional, some unique )
Variation: 2/5 (not very mixed. mostly triples)
Accuracy: 3/5 (pretty historically accurate)
Casting: 3/5 (good)
The Spear Infantry where lovely sculpts and very dynamic for old white metal style miniatures. They took the paint smoothly and have ample detail to help pull off all kinds of color schemes and designs. Although there was a slight lack of variation (and one lovely "prone" sculpt that only appeared once) there was enough different poses to create a a diverse looking regiment.
